Reliability Engineer

About Us
We are Outokumpu, a leading company in the steel industry, specializing in the production of sustainable stainless steel. To expand our team, we are looking for a driven Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing the reliability and efficiency of our systems and processes.

Your Role as a Reliability Engineer
As a Reliability Engineer, you will work on improving the performance of machinery and installations. You will utilize data analysis and technical expertise to reduce breakdowns, optimize maintenance costs, and increase equipment availability.

What Will You Do?

• Analyze failure data and conduct root cause analyses.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Develop improvement plans to enhance the reliability and availability of equipment.
• Support the design and improvement of new and existing installations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement optimizations.
• Proactively identify potential improvement areas and risks for failures.
• Document and report analyses and improvement actions.

What Do We Require?

• A completed technical education (preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial automation).
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a technical environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance and reliability techniques such as FMEA, RCA, TPM, or RCM.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
