Senior Manager Quality & Manufacturing Excellence

We are seeking a driven and forward‑looking Senior Manager, Quality & Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx), to lead our quality agenda and accelerate continuous improvement across BA Ferrochrome. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to shape our approach to operational excellence and secure top‑tier quality standards throughout our operations.

 

You will work closely with local teams and Group networks to implement, sustain, and continuously improve processes. This role reports directly to the VP, Business Excellence, BA Ferrochrome.

 

Your Role

  • Lead Quality Management
    •    Drive BA Ferrochrome’s Quality initiatives, including internal and external audits (ISO 9001).
    •    Implement and maintain high-quality standards, ensuring certification and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx)
    •    Plan, coordinate, and support ManEx activities in collaboration with local departments and the Group ManEx network.
    •    Conduct OPI audits and implement operational improvements aligned with ManEx standards.
  • Lead Projects & Reporting
    •    Initiate and manage impactful Quality and ManEx projects from start to finish.
    •    Develop digital dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time insights for management and operations.
    •    Ensure projects are delivered on scope, on time, and within budget.

 

How You’ll Measure Success:  

  • Deliver strong results in Quality audits and consistently meet or exceed Quality KPIs.
  • Achieve positive outcomes in OPI (ManEx) audits.
  • Successfully lead projects that drive meaningful Quality and Manufacturing Excellence improvements.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical University degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations or quality assurance.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical, planning, coordination, and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Management systems and Lean/Six Sigma principles (Black Belt preferred).
  • Passion for continuous improvement and personal development.
