Manager - FeCr Plant Maintenance and Asset Management

We are looking for a Maintenance and Asset Management Manager to take overall responsibility for maintenance and asset management at our Ferrochrome Plant in Tornio.
This is a significant leadership role in a complex industrial environment where safety, reliability, operational performance, and continuous improvement go hand in hand. You will lead a skilled organization, work closely with the plant leadership team, and have a direct impact on the long-term performance and development of the plant.
Reporting to the VP, Ferrochrome Plant, you will be a member of the plant management team and contribute to shaping priorities and decisions across the operation.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will lead the maintenance and asset management function and ensure that the organization is well positioned to support both current operations and future development.Your responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the maintenance and asset management organization
- Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring safe ways of working
- Improving equipment reliability, availability, and overall asset performance
- Managing operating budgets and contributing to longer-term planning
- Coordinating major maintenance activities, investments, and improvement projects
- Developing processes, competencies, and ways of working within the function
- Supporting the achievement of production, quality, environmental, and cost targets
- Building strong cooperation across functions and stakeholder groups (production, engineering, procurement, and external partners)
What we're looking for
You are a people-oriented leader with a solid technical foundation and a genuine interest in developing both performance and teams. You know how to balance operational priorities with longer-term improvement and can build trust across different stakeholder groups.
We believe you bring:
- A degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field
- Experience in maintenance, reliability, asset management, or industrial operations
- Previous leadership experience and a track record of developing teams and individuals
- Understanding of maintenance and reliability practices in an industrial environment
- Experience in budgeting, planning, and project execution
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English and Finnish skills
Experience from the heavy process industry is an advantage
