Information Architect

Are you passionate about turning data into a well-structured, secure and valuable asset? We are looking for an Information Architect to drive data management and support the implementation of Outokumpu’s data strategy.

In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring that data is organized, accessible, secure and used effectively across key business processes and platforms. You will work closely with business and IT leaders to align priorities, roadmaps and delivery, and contribute to the further development of our data strategy.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing information structures, taxonomies, hierarchies and conceptual/logical data models
• Defining metadata standards, naming conventions and data definitions
• Ensuring consistent data across ERP, SCM, MES and related systems
• Supporting user-centered information design, usability and findability
• Enabling data governance, quality, ownership and lifecycle 
• Designing secure access models and supporting data protection and disaster recovery readiness
• Ensure consistency and interoperability within different data products

What we expect from you:

• Suitable academic degree and several years of experience in information architecture, data architecture or a similar role
• Experience in solution and data product development
• Strong understanding of enterprise operating models, data platforms and application landscapes
• Experience with both cloud and on-premise solutions
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and decision facilitation skills
• Ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly
• Experience working with vendors and suppliers
