Key Account Manager - EU&P

The UK Service Centre is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to work at their site in Sheffield.

 

The main responsibilities of the role are:

•    Work in a safe manner putting H&S as No 1 priority
•    Delivery of KA sales plan
•    Develop appropriate levels of service required for each customer in line with customer requirements and capability of supplying route.
•    Develop and manage local Key Accounts.  Ensure the principles of KAM are thoroughly communicated throughout the organisation.
•    Maintain contact with nominated accounts by means of regular visits to communicate policy regarding price, direction and market development.
•    Business Development – Prioritise new business development, generating sales leads and opportunities. 
•    Deliver account-level actions from leads generated by business development
•    Use knowledge of customer/segment base to inform on patterns of market demand and competitor activity.  Share market intelligence, trends and insights.
•    Process and handle all aspects of customer enquiries and orders from receipt to order fulfilment as required
•    Acquire comprehensive product and customer knowledge in order to discuss and inform on developments both internally and with customers, and to support new product development        initiatives.
•    Responsible for managing and delivering projects within their area of responsibility.

•    Develop deep knowledge of customers and their service requirements (with BU and Supply Chain Functions)
•    Responsible for maintaining stock levels for designated key accounts (with Inside Sales, SCM)

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Negotiation Skills & Relationship management
  • Ability to influence and lead
  • Must demonstrate a suitable level of I.T. literacy including excel.
  • Hold a full driving license.
  • Min 5 years work experience with a successful sales and marketing role
  • Degree desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience within the industry is desirable.
