Procurement Specialist (Advanced English)

San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi, MX

We are seeking a fully bilingual Procurement Specialist to join our Finance team in San Luis Potosí.
 

Purpose: The purpose of the GBS Procurement Specialist role is to own and execute end-to-end purchasing activities within a shared services environment, ensuring efficient, compliant, and standardized procurement operations while collaborating with global stakeholders.

The role is designed to act as a trusted operational partner, driving service excellence and building strong procurement capabilities that support long-term value creation across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, International Business, or a related field.
  • Early career experience (1–2 years) in procurement, operations, finance, or administrative functions.
  • Professional English proficiency.
  • Experience with JDE, SAP is highly valued.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel capabilities
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, or Power BI) with openness to further develop digital skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end creation and management of purchase orders for spare parts, repairs/services and operational requirements.
  • Drive sourcing activities by managing RFQs, evaluating supplier responses, and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, proactively removing blockers and ensuring reliable delivery.
  • Engage directly with plant users and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into effective purchasing actions.
  • Anticipate risks such as invoice discrepancies, or repair delays — and take action before they impact the business.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure data accuracy across procurement systems.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Master Data, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex purchasing scenarios.
  • Strengthen inventory reliability through proactive zero-stock follow-ups.
  • Contribute to repair coordination and operational planning discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders, reinforcing a strong culture of teamwork to achieve shared objectives.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and help elevate procurement processes.
  • Contribute to — and support — the transition or implementation of new procurement tools and systems.

 

Salary range: 31,230-42,930 pesos.
