Electrical Engineer (Advanced English)

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (advanced English) to join our Maintenance team in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Requirements: (Advanced English oral and written)

• Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineer, or related engineering degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer, performing duties as a supervisor responsible for an area in electrical maintenance
• Proficiency in maintenance techniques, both preventive and corrective
• Knowledge of PLC programming, communication networks, AC and DC drives, and high, medium, and low voltage systems
• Strong understanding of electric motors and regulation systems (control theory)
• Proven experience in project management, continuous improvement, and budget management

Direct Reports:

• Area electricians, shift coordinators, and electronics technicians

Demonstrable Strong Knowledge in the Following Areas:

Electrical Fundamentals:

• Electrical circuit theory
• Direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) analysis
• Analog and digital electronics
• Electrical instrumentation and measurement
• Semiconductor devices

Power Electrical Systems:

• Power generation
• Transformers
• Transmission lines
• Distribution networks
• Power quality

Electrical Protection & Studies:

• Electrical protection systems and coordination
• Short circuit and arc flash studies
• Experience analyzing and interpreting energy consumption (peak, mid-peak, and base load)

Grounding Systems & Diagnostics:

• Grounding systems
• Electrical thermography studies
• Chromatography analysis of power transformers

Standards and Regulations:

• Strong application of electrical codes and standards (such as NOM in Mexico, NEC, IEEE, IEC) to ensure legal compliance and operational safety (e.g., NOM-001-SEDE-2012, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, etc.)

Electrical Machines:

• Induction motors
• Synchronous motors
• Electric generators
• Variable frequency drives (VFDs) and electrical drives

Control & Automation:

• Classical and modern control systems
• PID controllers
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• SCADA systems
• Industrial automation

 Salary range: 50,180-62,730 pesos.
