Sales Manager (m/w/d)

In our Business Line Advances Materials Sales Team, we are looking for a Sales Manager – Chemical Process Industry (m/f/d) within Heavy Industry and Distributors. In this challenging and dynamic role, you will be able to work international, build your network within Outokumpu as well as with our Strategic customers and Industry Fields. You will interact with many different departments like Operations, QM, Supply Chain Management, R&D and Marketing.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Holistic customer service for Chemical Process Industry (CPI) customers within Heavy Industry and Distributors;
  • Be able to technically promote advanced stainless steel materials and Nickel alloys;
  • Develop strategy for customers in the segment CPI;
  • Cross functional global cooperation within Outokumpu;
  • Selling of entire Outokumpu product and service portfolio;
  • Active implementation of Outokumpu sales strategy;
  • Contribution to various strategic projects in order to optimize competitiveness;
  • Processing of enquiries;
  • Offer and contract preparation: checking of availability, delivery dates, prices and delivery conditions as well as legal parameters;
  • Ensuring technical feasibility;
  • Preparing, running and finalizing of contract negotiations;
  • Acquisition of new customers and acquisition of prospects;
  • Implementation of measures to win back customers and increase customer satisfaction;
  • Proactive market observation;
  • Participation in trade fairs, factory visits, customer seminars and other events.

 

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in a technical or commercial discipline or successfully completed commercial apprenticeship;
  • Knowledge of stainless-steel products, production and further processing methods;
  • Experience of selling to Chemical Process Industry is a merit;
  • Relevant experience in B2B sales desirable;
  • Fluent verbal and written knowledge of English and German languages;
  • Professional practice of MS Office applications;
  • Proactive Sales personality with technical interest and understanding;
  • Understanding in deep technical specifications and standards;
  • Target and solution-oriented way of thinking;
  • High degree of self-initiative and assertiveness;
  • Confident communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • Results-oriented and strategic way of thinking;
  • Readiness for further development within the Sales area;
  • Intercultural and empathetic competencies and willingness to travel.

Start Date: October 1, 2024.

Classification: Non - Tariff position, depending on your qualifications and experiences.

 

This position is preferably located in Krefeld or one of our other locations in Europe. In this role you will report to the Sales Director Heavy Industry and Distributors.
