What You’ll Do:  

As an IT Specialist, On-site Services, you will ensure the delivery of safe and reliable infrastructure services at the sites in your scope, acting as a trusted partner to business counterparts.  

 
The role involves:  

  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety rules and regulations in all IT operations.  
  • Manage Infrastructure Services: Take responsibility for infrastructure services within your support area, including IMACD tasks for various devices such as PCs, servers, handhelds, label printers, and more.  
  • End-User Support: Provide support for end-user devices including desktops, laptops, thin clients, printers, mobile devices, and VDI solutions.  
  • Network & Firewall Support: Offer baseline support and maintenance for local networks and firewalls.  
  • Service Performance: Perform support and development activities according to agreed Service Levels or maintenance/project plans, ensuring the high performance of IT services.  
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of IT service components within your support area, ensuring timely updates and replacements.  
  • Proactive Improvement: Identify operational needs and propose new, efficient solutions to enhance service delivery.  
  • Effective Communication: Maintain good and timely communication with internal and external staff, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions.  
  • Standardized Methods: Apply approved standard methods and ways of working, ensuring consistency and high-quality results.  
  • Documentation: Keep documentation up to date to ensure accuracy and accessibility. 
  • Promote IT Services: Act as an ambassador for IT services and solutions, promoting their full scope and value.  
  • Cyber Security & Lifecycle Management: Focus on cyber security improvements and IT system lifecycle management to maintain a secure and resilient IT environment.  
  • Device and Process Standardization: Contribute to the standardization and consolidation of devices, applications, solutions, and processes, working closely with IT and business teams.  
  • Collaborate Effectively: Cooperate with all internal and external IT teams and delivery partners to ensure seamless service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), or equivalent industry experience.  
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure-related support and development duties.  
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft workstation operating systems, server operating systems (MS + Linux), Active Directory, and asset management tools.  
  • Intermediate skills in supporting desktop, laptop, mobile devices, VDI solutions, and peripherals hardware.  
  • Intermediate skills in LAN and firewall support & administration.  
  • Basic problem-solving skills.  
  • Strong cooperation and communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written.

You will report to IT Team Lead On-site Services.
