About Us:
Are you passionate about project planning, cost management, and making a tangible impact on sustainability? Join Outokumpu as a Cost & Scheduling Engineer and play a key role in the installation of our state-of-the-art biocarbon production plant.
This €40 million investment is a cornerstone of Outokumpu’s mission to reduce climate impact by replacing fossil raw materials with sustainable alternatives. The plant will produce 15,000 tonnes of biocarbon annually, supporting the transition to biocoke in ferrochrome production—cutting direct emissions by up to 50%.
About the Role:
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project timelines and deadlines
- Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner
- Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
- Creating budget & following & reporting cost forecast and actuals
- Identifying possible cost overruns and taking measures with discliplines to get them back on track
- Ensure that OTK gets documentation of costs and schedules in full
About You:
- Master´s or Bachelor's degree preferable in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of two years' experience as a project scheduler in a related industry
- Extensive experience in schedule planning and management
- In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects
- Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines, cost forecast and changes
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Fluent in German and English
- Good user skills of MS Project, Excel and Power Point. SAP skills would be beneficial.
Location: Sassnitz, Rügen
