Network Service Manager

 

 

Outokumpu, the global leader in stainless steel, is looking for a hand on and technical Network Service Manger to join the Compute and Network service.

 

 

Ongoing responsibilities

 

· Ensuring vendors are working in correct manner and following proper lifecycle management and security patching of platforms

· Aid suppliers and security teams to in tightening and securing our compute access and management policies

· Operational management; SLA and service performance analysis of ITSM processes (Incident, Request, Change, Problem)

· Co-ordination of compute tasks during agreed maintenance windows

· Demand evaluation and recommendations

· Invoice checking, and ensuring budget compliance

· Continual Improvements within compute solutions

· Ensuring service related documentation and service related information in CMDB is up to date

· Identify and mitigate grey areas of support within the service

· Identify risks, including cyber and operational and propose solutions (including, technical, operational and security related)

· Support and provide close collaboration with key stakeholders within IT and business

· Work with vendors to ensure efficient platform utilisation

· Supporting and managing compute process management (eg server order process)

· Act as SPOC for capacity related questions, from business, IT and vendors

 

 

Key Technical Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

· Experience of working in a production/ manufacturing industry

· 5+ years in similar role

· Technical knowledge

· Broad knowledge of LAN infrastructure (Aruba and PaloAlto)

· ITIL Qualified – Minimum Foundation level

· Excellent communication skills in English both spoken and written

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
