Service Design Lead

Sales & Supply Chain Solutions team at Outokumpu IT is responsible for delivering connected and personalized customer experience for our customers. We design and develop next generation B2B commerce & experience capabilities and systems. We co-operate closely with Outokumpu Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and Communications teams in identifying and delivering solutions that increase Outokumpu’s business performance.

 

We are now seeking a Service Design Lead

As a Service Design Lead, you will take ownership of design within Outokumpu driving user and customer-centricity forward.

You will run and facilitate various service design initiatives, build organizational capability for design, and manage design ops and research ops. You will be working closely with internal teams spanning from technology, business and operations to support functions. You will act as an internal design ambassador as well as a go-to person in any design related issues or topics

 

What we expect from you:

• Senior-level experience in service design and/or strategic or product design

• Mastery of user-centric design methods and user research (mixed methods), with the ability to make evidence-based design decisions

• Proven track record in designing and driving solutions in complex B2B contexts, in close collaboration with other functions

• Solid experience in strategic and service design, connecting frontstage customer experience with backstage systems, processes, and organizations

• Experience in taking end-to-end design ownership from discovery to delivery

• Skills in facilitating cross-disciplinary collaboration and running impactful workshops to drive alignment and decision-making

• Ability to involve, influence, educate, and inspire stakeholders

• High degree of autonomy and accountability and developed project management skills

• Comfort working in a multidisciplinary, international environment

• Relevant academic degree in design, HCI, social sciences, or a related field

• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Finnish, Swedish, and/or German is considered a strong asset
