What you'll do

  • Provide advanced 2nd/3rd level support and technical expertise for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), RDS and VDI services, including agreed on-call support.
  • Manage and troubleshoot AVD environments: host pools, session hosts, workspaces, application groups and published applications.
  • Own the golden image lifecycle — build, patch, validate and maintain session host images using tools such as Azure Image Gallery or Nerdio.
  • Manage FSLogix profiles, storage performance, user sessions and profile recovery.
  • Monitor service health, performance and incidents; perform root cause analysis and drive improvements.
  • Support patching, security activities, change management and migration from legacy VDI/RDS platforms.
  • Standardise application delivery, maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with support teams.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, harmonisation and improved end-user experience across End User Services.

 

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in VDI/EUC operations with AVD and RDS/Citrix environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop: host pools, session hosts, application groups, scaling and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with FSLogix, Azure Files, storage solutions and Windows multi-session environments.
  • Knowledge of golden image management, application packaging, patching and release processes.
  • PowerShell scripting skills and experience with ITSM processes (incident, problem and change management).
  • Familiarity with Nerdio Manager is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders in English.
