Compute Service Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage vendors, ITSM processes, SLAs, and analyze service performance
  • Coordinate ‘run the service’ activities in line with company security standards
  • Monitor vendors for lifecycle management and security compliance
  • Coordinate Compute maintenance tasks according to ITIL practices, including tasks that increase security and reduce legacy environments, such as in-place upgrades
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions for Compute demands
  • Verify invoices, ensure budget compliance
  • Drive continual improvements within Compute solutions
  • Update service-related documentation and CMDB
  • Work with vendors for efficient platform and solutions utilization
  • Identify and mitigate support grey areas
  • Act as SPOC for Compute related inquiries
  • Address risks, collaborate with stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • An academic degree or equivalent qualifications in an IT discipline
  • Experience of working in a production / manufacturing industry is an advantage
  • 5+ years in similar role
  • Excellent communication skills in English both spoken and written
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Key Technical Experience & Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge
    • Broad knowledge of hosting infrastructure such as hypervisors, clusters, stacks
    • Broad knowledge of server and database infrastructure such as MS Windows, Linux OS, MS SQL etc.
    • Knowledge of Azure Public Cloud, Azure Stack HCI and DevOps would be beneficial
    • Knowledge of backup / monitoring / FinOps processes and best practices
  • ITIL Qualified – minimum Foundation level
  • Knowledge of ITSM practices and tools (ServiceNow)

Employment details:

  • 3-month probation period

  • Permanent contract offered after successful performance review

  • Hybrid working model – 2 days per week in our modern, centrally located office
