Join Supply Chain Management as Application Specialist!

IT Supply Chain Solutions team is looking for an Application Specialist to take care of SAP solutions related to semi-finished materials, covering areas such as internal purchasing, own-arising scrap, material management, intercompany material flow, and subcontracting.

Your Role:

As the SAP Application Specialist, you will play a key hands-on role in our Supply Chain Solutions team, responsible for the daily operation, development, and continuous improvement of SAP solutions supporting semi-finished material management.

You will work close to production, planning, logistics, and IT, ensuring that SAP processes, master data, and integrations support efficient and reliable material flow. You will report directly to Senior Manager – Supply Chain Solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Own and support SAP applications related to semi-finished material management end-to-end
• Act as the primary application expert for SAP PP/MM topics related to semi-finished goods
• Maintain and develop material master data, process settings, and related configurations
• Support and improve SAP processes for:
• Internal purchasing
• Own-arising scrap handling
• Intercompany material flows
• Subcontracting processes
• Analyze incidents, data issues, and process deviations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes
• Participate in change requests, enhancements, and rollouts, working closely with business stakeholders
• Support testing, documentation, and user guidance for SAP changes
• Collaborate closely with operations/production, supply chain, IT teams and IT vendors
• Contribute to automation, standardization, and adoption of best practices within the SAP landscape
• Take part in service management activities such as incident resolution, service improvement, and major incident support in cooperation with IT Service Delivery and Service Desk

• Hands-on experience with SAP PP and/or SAP MM
• Good understanding of manufacturing and material flow processes, especially semi-finished materials
• Experience working with material master data, production orders, inventory, and logistics processes
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across system and business process boundaries
• A practical, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to work close to operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English
• Customer service mindset and strong collaboration skills

Qualifications you need to either possess already, or be willing to learn fairly soon

• Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) and structured service delivery
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments or willingness to adopt these ways of working

We believe you have an academic degree or similar qualifications in IT, engineering, or supply chain, and a good understanding of how IT solutions support processes in large industrial organizations.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA, MES integrations, or planning systems is considered an advantage.
