Forecasting Specialist / Senior Specialist

We are looking for a skilled OneStream Forecasting Specialist – or an experienced Senior OneStream Forecasting Specialist, depending on your background – to join our FP&C Systems & Processes team. 

In this role, you will act as the critical link between our finance vision and the technical capabilities of the OneStream platform. You will translate business objectives into scalable, high-performing solutions while owning the functional integrity of our forecasting and consolidation models across Management Actuals (MA) and Forecast (FC) scenarios.

In this position, you will be based at Outokumpu Headquarters, Helsinki. Hybrid working is possible in this role.  

Your Role and Responsibilities 

• Strategic Interface Between Business and Technology 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Finance Process Owners, translating strategic ideas into executable technical requirements. 
  • Develop efficient, scalable solution designs that align with finance strategy and support long-term growth. 
  • Depending on seniority, lead major development initiatives and guide the evolution of our OneStream environment. 
• Functional Ownership of Forecasting Models 
  • Safeguard the accuracy, consistency, and maintainability of logic within forecasting and consolidation models. 
  • Provide expert support during month-end closing and forecasting cycles to ensure smooth and error-free operations. 
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for technical logic, workflows, and enhancements. 
  • Create and deliver training materials and user guides; collaborate with Process Owners to identify and address user skill gaps. 
• Strengthen Our Data Strategy 
  • Act as the lead owner for ensuring smooth data flow and alignment between source systems and OneStream. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to secure high-quality data and seamless integrations. 

What You Bring 

• Education & Experience 
  • University degree in Finance, IT, or a related field. 
  • Experience with OneStream in planning, budgeting, or forecasting.  
  • Strong understanding of financial forecasting methodologies, corporate planning processes, and consolidation principles. 
  • Senior level: solid, hands-on expertise across development, implementation, and model ownership. 

• Technical & Professional Skills 
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical solutions. 
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and documentation skills. 
  • Experience training and supporting global finance users. 
  • Certifications in OneStream or similar EPM systems (Hyperion, Tagetik, SAP BPC) are a significant plus. 
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
