Financial Controller

Outokumpu is looking for a self-driven, technically advanced and energetic Financial Controller based in Helsinki to join our Group Financial Accounting & Reporting Team.
 
As Financial Controller in the consolidation team, you will be responsible for agreed parts of the Outokumpu Group consolidation and reporting as well as maintaining the Group instructions. You will also participate in compliance matters and development of consolidation process. As financial management is crucial to our company’s performance, you will play an important role in the company’s future success.
 
The Group Consolidation team is responsible for Outokumpu Group’s financial reporting compliance according to IFRS, preparing Group consolidated financial statements and supporting management reporting and analysis. The team participates in maintaining and implementing changes to Group accounting and reporting policies and practices. 
 

Your role:

• Taking responsibility on agreed parts in Group consolidation on a monthly basis
• Preparation and analysis of Group monthly, interim and annual reports
• Participation in finance related projects
• Taking part in improving financial reporting related processes
• Taking part in identifying significant risks in financial reporting
• Taking part to controlling compliance to Group and local policies and procedures 

About you:
 

• University degree in finance or equivalent qualifications
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial controlling/consolidation/reporting/auditing
• Good knowledge of group consolidation and IFRS standards
• Analytical mindset/ability to independently solve complex accounting issues
• Good IT skills (especially MS Office), experience with HFM or OneStream consolidation software is an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with good command of written and spoken Finnish and English
• Positive and proactive attitude, willingness to learn and to develop further
• Willing to leave your desk and get to know people and the operations of the company

You will be located in Helsinki and report to Head of Group Financial Controlling. You have the flexibility to limited travel based on job requirements.
