Finance AI & Digital Facilitator

About the role

As a Finance AI & Digital Facilitator, you will help build an AI- and digital-first Finance function. You will partner with Business Controlling, Financial Controlling, Tax, Treasury and Financial Transactional Services to identify opportunities that reduce manual and transactional work and enable greater focus on business partnering, insights and decision support.

You will facilitate the definition of target states and turn identified opportunities into deliverable solutions. From the outset, the role combines transformation facilitation with agile project management and end-to-end delivery ownership. Initially, the focus will be on establishing the transformation pipeline; over time, the role will become more evenly balanced between facilitation and solution delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Finance teams to identify opportunities where AI and digital solutions can fundamentally transform work, create value and increase capacity for higher-value activities.
• Design and facilitate senior-level workshops that help each finance subfunction define ambitious objectives and agree on clear, business-owned target states.
• Document signed-off target states, including scope, metrics, timelines and resourcing, while maintaining consistent and auditable templates and progress tracking.
• Gather requirements and baseline data, conduct value and benefit analyses, and maintain business cases that demonstrate efficiency gains and changes in how Finance delivers value.
• Manage multiple initiatives using agile practices, including backlog management, iteration planning, dependency and risk tracking, and delivery reporting.
• Own opportunities from initial shaping through delivery, adoption and value tracking, connecting finance stakeholders with engineering teams and providing clear progress updates.

What we are looking for

• Strong workshop design and facilitation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders, challenging established thinking and building alignment around transformational objectives.
• Good understanding of finance processes—such as closing, controlling, tax, treasury or transactional services—and how digitalisation can shift work toward business partnering, analysis and decision support.
• Experience in business analysis, target-state design, requirements definition, value modelling and stakeholder negotiation, together with good BI literacy.
• Hands-on agile project and delivery management experience, including managing backlogs, iterations, risks and dependencies across several parallel workstreams and supporting solutions through adoption.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, industrial engineering and management, or a related field, with relevant experience in business analysis, process consulting, agile delivery or organisational change. 

Service design training and agile certifications are considered advantages.

Growth opportunities

The role will initially focus on facilitation and building the transformation pipeline across Finance. As more opportunities progress into development, the balance will shift toward agile delivery and solution ownership. Over time, the role can develop into broader programme or delivery management responsibility as the Finance transformation portfolio grows.
