Solution Architect - Operations Solutions Europe and Strategic Projects

Outokumpu IT is responsible for delivering business application and infrastructure services for Outokumpu. IT co-operates closely with Business Areas and other Group Functions in identifying and delivering solutions that increase Outokumpu’s business performance. 
Operations Solutions is responsible for all site/mill specific solutions and overall development of our manufacturing operations related IT capabilities, from manufacturing execution to asset optimization in two of our business areas Europe and Ferrochrome.

We are now looking for an experienced, technical Solution Architect to oversee our IT solutions in Operations Solutions Europe and Strategic Projects. This role will be based in Poland. 

As Solution Architect in Operations Solutions domain, you will be responsible for our area technical solutions, planning and ensuring overall architecture and business process fit. You will be supporting our complete IT ecosystem, like Applications and Technical Service Managers, as well as tightly collaborating with site Level2 applications and automation teams, with driving continuous improvements, reviewing technical solutions and evaluating effort estimates etc. You will support ongoing transition and transformation processes, create and evaluate proposals and act as technical expert in our projects. You will participate group wide IT process and working method improvements as a team member of Outokumpu Group IT. 

 
Main responsibilities:

• Driving for standardization, modernization and quality in our solutions
• Drive continuous improvements of our IT solutions, in terms of fit for purpose and process efficiency
• Align with other Solution and Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions fit our global landscape
• Improve End user Experience in terms of ease of use, intuitivity, fit for purpose etc.
• Management and maintenance of technical documentation and solution compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology or equivalent qualifications
• IT and ITIL knowledge in theory and practice
• +5 years’ working experience in relevant position
• Analytical approach
• Ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working with multinational teams
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in Finnish and English, both verbal and in written text
• Willingness to travel
