About the Role 

We are looking for a driven Sales Manager with a strong Hunter mindset to grow our European Process Industry segment in BL Advanced Materials. You will focus on acquiring new customers, developing existing relationships, and driving profitable growth in line with Outokumpu’s EVOLVE strategy.  

 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Proactively identify, approach, and acquire new customers in Processing Industries segments (e.g., Chemical & Petrochemical, Mining, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industries) 

  • Develop and expand long-term relationships with existing clients 

  • Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions 

  • Drive the entire sales cycle from first contact to closing 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience 

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities 

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs 

  • Work closely with Inside Sales, Customer Solutions & Products, and Marketing 

  • Represent Outokumpu at industry events, conferences, and trade shows 

 

What You Bring 

  • A true Hunter profile: energetic, persistent, business-minded, and motivated by winning new, value-driving business 

  • University degree in engineering or related area 

  • Proven track record in high-end B2B sales or business development 

  • Knowledge of stainless steel and nickel alloys flat products and their applications 

  • Strong communication, cooperation, negotiation, and closing skills 

  • Ability to build trust and credibility quickly 

  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution 

  • Experience with CRM and customer relationship management 

  • Performance- and target-focused mindset: agile, structured, and results-oriented 

  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently 

  • Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages (Spanish and/or French) are a plus 

  • Valid driver’s license 

 

Location: Castelleone, Italy 

This position is based in Castelleone, Italy. The role requires frequent travel to customer sites across Europe. Candidates based in Northern Italy are also encouraged to apply.
