Reliability/Asset Manager

As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic Asset Manager and be part of our Cold Rolling Works team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama. 

Relocation will be provided.

 
Objective: This position is responsible for all Cold Rolling Works (CRW) physical assets, including but not limited to maintaining a safe work environment, maintaining environmental compliance, monitoring asset performance, maximizing asset lifecycles, improving maintenance strategies, and outage coordination. The CRW Asset Manager will provide guidance, coaching and guidance for all CRW team members in the development of a reliability centered operations program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field (additional technical certifications preferred).
  • >5 years of experience in enhancing equipment reliability focused on equipment performance and streamlining maintenance processes
  • Expertise in reliability engineering principles and tools and reliability-centered maintenance methodologies.
  • Proven leadership skills, with at least 2-3 years of experience managing or supervising shift teams.
  • Proficiency in using statistical analysis to predict reliability and determine solutions
  • Strong knowledge in SAP, PPS, PRIME systems.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office) and data reporting.

  • Ability to manage, interpret and communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders or team members.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams, and foster a culture of reliability within the organization

  • Strategic planning and risk analysis management

Responsibilities:

  • Standardize CRW maintenance programs through proactive audits of the equipment hierarchy working in coordination with the maintenance team to ensure all assets have a defined maintenance strategy.
  • Perform routine audits of current preventive maintenance strategies to ensure correct frequency and level of technical detail to build a comprehensive maintenance plan per operating area.
  • Plan and organize CRW annual outages in coordination with maintenance and reliability to maximize a resource loaded schedule.
  • Actively manage the CRW CAPEX investment strategy to ensure equipment reliability and business continuity. 5+ years
  • Plan and project OPEX spend necessary to ensure consistent cost performance.
  • Evaluate operational data to define asset lifecycles to improve long-term strategic investment planning
  • Conduct routine audits and manage spare part inventories in collaboration with the appropriate management teams to ensure optimal maintenance planning and inventory levels that align with operational and business requirements.
  • Planning and execution of large and/or long-term project planning requiring coordination of contractors and internal resources.
  • Enter, track, and update all projects and project milestones in WAVE ensuring accurate timelines and spend forecasting.
  • Assist in the development of all investment business cases including asset criticality and risk adjusted spend calculations.
  • Supervise and coordinate CRW reliability engineering team
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders and customers (internal or external).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, process flow charts, and P&IDs.
  • Any other activities that may be required or requested to support the business.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to elevated ambient temperature for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat.
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, dust.
  • Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required.
  • Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by specific position. 
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to communicate utilizing radios, phones and/or intercom systems 
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and equipment for tasks and diagnostic purposes, including overhead cranes. 

 

Salary range: USD.101,900-140,100 plus bonus.
