As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic Maintenance Coordinator to be part of our Melt Shop team in Calvert, AL.

 

We invite you to explore this exceptional career opportunity.As the Maintenance Coordinator, you will lead and coordinate the activities of all shift resources including operations and maintenance personnel. 

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Current EAF/AOD Experience Required
  • Background in managing shift schedules and meeting production requirements
  • Demonstrated results leading teams and technical competence

Some of the key activities you will be responsible for:

 

  • Make sure that all Team members are following all Safety procedures, SOP’s, and TWI’s. Provide coaching as needed to all Team members.
  • Maintain Safety and Environmental Requirements
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of processes, equipment and services in a manner which maximizes shop productivity, minimizes costs, and maintains environmental compliance.
  • Provide operational and technical support related to production and to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes and products that safely and cost-effectively meet or exceed customer demands for quality, consistency, and on-time performance.
  • Provide Technical Leadership, Support and Skills Development for the EAF AOD Team
  • Ensure that Team members are cross training while on shift to create a redundant system in your Team in the case you have a Team member call off.
  • Implement Best Practices and Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and Optimize Operating Practices, Procedures and Quality Requirements
  • Maintain Shift Schedules
  • Review and update SOP’s as directed
  • Facilitate Status Change Forms and Coaching Reports
  • Areas of responsibility include; EAF, AOD, Ladle Wall, Material Handling, ECS support, E-Crane and Raw materials support as needed, LTS/CCM support as needed.
  • Ability to work rotating shift schedule

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to communicate utilizing radios, phones and/or intercom systems.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to elevated ambient temperature for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in areas with strong magnetic fields
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as needed and as qualified
  • Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques
  • Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs and ramps).
  • Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by specific position.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including rain, extreme heat and cold and near moving parts. Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, dust and asphalt.
  • Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required
  • Ability to frequently use hand or fingers to handle or feel objects/materials.
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to walk long distances and demonstrate good balance on uneven terrain or maneuvering obstacles.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and equipment for tasks and diagnostic purposes, including overhead cranes.
  • Ability to safely use power and hand tools

Salary: $88,300 to $121,400
