Key Account Manager

As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic  Key Account Manager to join our Sales team.

This position works remotely.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.

 

Objective: Lead strategic sales efforts for Business Area Americas, focusing on flat stainless steel growth in North America. This role bridges the gap between technical expertise and commercial execution, identifying new market frontiers and strengthening direct customer loyalty to drive sustainable profit.

Requirements:

•    A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, or Marketing is preferred.  Other relevant specialties will be considered.
•    10 years minimum of outside sales/customer service experience in a manufacturing, distribution, metals industry environment.
•    Experience working directly with OEMs and related business a plus.
•    Know-How of steel processing and processes within the steel industry, including commercial processes is a plus.
•    Professional user skills of MS Office, SAP, CRM.
•    Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities:

•    Deliver the sales and profit according to agreed business plan, tactical selling and customer service execution. 
•    Be the overall customer account manager responsible for selected customers, either OEM, Tier I or Tier II.
•    Manage and monitor the business targets by agreed economic indicators.
•    Actively execute segment strategy, mission, and vision. 
•    Attract new potential and worthy business from existing and new customers. 
•    Manage and monitor the business targets by agreed economic indicators (e.g. VOP, VCM, sales revenue, inventory, overdue receivables). 
•    Understand international business relationships, including negotiation of prices and contracts with (inter)national customers.
•    Work on inquiries, such as preparation of quotations and contracts, checking of allocation, technical feasibility in coordination with technical team.
•    Proactively follow-up quotations, including negotiation of contracts, prices and other commercial details. 
•    Prepare and execute measures to improve customer satisfaction. 
•    Monitor market situation, understanding of short-, middle-, and long term trends.
•    Preparing and uploading of sales plan and forecast. 
•    Participate at trade fairs, customer seminars, congresses. 
•    Make operational pricing and contract decisions with (inter)national customers. 
•    Prioritize customers’ accounts to their value and complexity.

 

Salary range:  $121,800-152,200.
