Financial Controlling Director-Americas

As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic Financial Controlling Director- Americas and be part of our Finance team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama.


We invite you to explore an exceptional career opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for Finance Compliance which includes IFRS, local GAAP, and legal reporting for the region. This position will be based in Calvert, AL and will report to Senior Vice President of Business Controlling Americas.

What you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master of Business Administration or Master’s in finance preferred.
  • 8 years of experience with previous accounting, tax accounting, financial management and statutory reporting
  • CPA, CFA or SMA professional certification a plus
  • Willingness to travel (less than 25%)

 

Competencies and Skills:

 

 

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Some of the key activities you will be responsible for:

 

  • Oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in the country (region)
  • Ensures adherence of financial statements to IFRS and if needed on local GAAP (or tax books) basis for Americas' entities.
  • Ensures the development and preparation of statistical figures and reports.
  • Preparation of local quarterly and annual closing documentation.
  • Managing local audits.
  • Preparation of annual budgets (below EBIT, B/S) for local unit(s)
  • Directs the establishment of (group’s) global accounting principles, practices, policies, and procedures locally (in co-operation with GBS and group finance)
  • Follow up, implementation and communication of country specific laws and legislation to GBS.
  • Handle confidential accounting accruals and entries as required.

Salary Range: US $136,000 to $204,400
