As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a Contracts Manager to be part of our Operations team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s relationship with subcontractors and suppliers that are onsite at the Calvert facility, as well as other contracts as required, to ensure on time delivery of goods and services at the right quality and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable contracts.

What you will bring:
- Technical qualifications with a strong commercial understanding relating to contract terms and conditions.
- Previous experience managing mill services and contractors who provide such services would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in managing contracts in an industrial or heavy industry.
- Understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in project management and tools related to tracking progress and identifying shortcomings in projects.

Some of the key activities you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate effectively with key internal stake holders to understand the services and outcomes desired from Onsite Service Providers.
- Hands on day-to-day management of Onsite Service Providers from an operational point of view.
- Closely manage deliverables from Onsite Service Providers to:
- Anticipate issues and risks and plan mitigation strategies in advance
- Ensure that deadlines are being met and quality meets the required standard
- Resolve issues, conflicts, and obstacles to keep the work on track
- Keep minutes of meetings and discussions related to work progress and any situations that arise.
- Evaluate service outcomes of Onsite Service Providers and identify opportunities for improvements in processes and contract terms.
- Interpret contract language to understand the risks, rights and responsibilities of all parties and guide Company’s representatives in properly managing in accordance with the Onsite Service Provider contract to limit operational downtime, and additional cost to the Company.
- Act as primary liaison and point of contact for coordination and communication with all departments on contract related issues as they relate to Onsite Service Providers.
- Monitor Onsite Service Provider’s and the company’s compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Identify potential risks in Onsite Service Provider contracts and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Support business units in understanding Onsite Service Provider contract implications and requirements.
- Prepare reports on Onsite Service Provider contract performance and compliance, including reports on key performance indicators and service levels, if applicable.
- Analyze (and when necessary, establish) Onsite Service Provider contract metrics, such as key performance indicators and service levels, and provide insights for improvement.
- Work closely with the Procurement and Legal Teams in identifying and qualifying and negotiating with potential Onsite Service Providers.

Salary Range: US $ 101,900 to $ 140,100
