Commodity Sourcing Specialist

We're seeking a Commodity Sourcing Specialist to be part of our Procurement team at our Calvert, AL location
Objective: This position supports operations at our Calvert, AL mill by sourcing goods and services, ensuring reliable supply, and optimizing procurement costs. This individual will also manage supplier performance and commercial relationships, while partnering cross‑functionally to meet operational requirements and drive continuous improvement across procurement activities.
What you will bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
Some of the key activities you will be responsible for:
• Source commodities based on supplier quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous deals.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in ERP or procurement systems.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
• Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies and best practices.
• Support audits and reporting by providing procurement data and documentation.

Salary: $79,200 to $108,900
