Business Development Operations Manager

As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking a dynamic Business Development Operations Manager and be part of our Commercial team. 

We invite you to explore this exciting opportunity to help shape the commercial engine of our Business Development organization. As the Business Development Operations Manager, you will oversee proposal development, marketing operations, and contracting processes that enable the BD team to pursue strategic, profitable growth. You’ll drive the creation of quality customer focused proposals, strengthen commercial, and ensure efficient, compliant contract execution. You will also lead BD’s marketing and enablement efforts by optimizing digital tools, campaign readiness, analytics, and content management. You will also improve workflows, processes, and operating routines across the team. Through operational excellence and streamlined processes, you’ll enhance alignment, productivity, and overall commercial effectiveness across BD.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in proposals, contracts, commercial operations, or business development support
  • Strong understanding of commercial terms, pricing models, and contract structures
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments
  • Industrial, manufacturing, or B2B experience preferred

Some of the key activities you will be responsible for:

  • Convert opportunity strategy into high‑quality commercial proposals, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with customer and internal requirements.
  • Uphold pricing discipline, margin protection, and risk management across all proposals and contracts.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Technical teams to ensure alignment, accuracy, and timely inputs throughout the proposal and contract lifecycle.
  • Drive proposal quality, consistency, and speed, establishing standards, templates, and best practices to reduce cycle time and improve win probability.
  • Support contract negotiation and execution, including managing commercial exceptions, coordinating approvals, and ensuring adherence to governance.
  • Ensure a seamless post‑award transition to the business with clear documentation, assumptions, and risk mitigation plans.

 

Salary Range: US $139,400 to $174,300
