Black Belt - Manufacturing Excellence Engineer

As a global leader in Stainless Steel we're seeking a dynamic certified Lean Black Belt Manufacturing Excellence Engineer and be part of our Excellence team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama.

Implement Manufacturing Best Practices to create maximum value at minimum total cost. Support US and Mexico Operations team to deliver operations strategy.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree. Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar. 
•    Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (mandatory) 
•    > 5 years of experience working with and leading operational excellence/manufacturing excellence, project management. 
•    Strong knowledge and experience in various aspects of operational excellence/manufacturing excellence e.g. Six Sigma method and tools
•    Demonstrated experience and ability to train and coach Lean Six Sigma
Competencies and skills:
•    A natural aptitude for mathematics and numerical data.
•    Analytically critical thinker and problem solving
•    A strong ability to coach, train and influence 
•    Ability to communicate clearly and active listening
Some of the activities you will be doing includes:
•    Individual accountabilities  
•    Lead and conduct improvement work within Manufacturing Excellence
•    Local expert on the various improvement tools used in Manufacturing Excellence 
•    Follow up projects and improvement work within Manufacturing Excellence 
•    Locally implement Outokumpu standard for Manufacturing Excellence 
•    Conduct training and coaching in the Manufacturing Excellence methods and improvement tools
•    Development of the organization towards “lean” thinking.
•    Participate in networks within Manufacturing Excellence globally
•    Lead training and develop the competence of Green Belt

Shared accountabilities

•    Co-operation between local functions and global functions to achieve overall common KPI´s  
•    Implement Outokumpu vision and mission.

Salary: USD: 88,300 – 121,400 base.
