Job qualifications and experience requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/automation +engineering or 5 years related experience
- Ability to read or interpret documents, drawings, and schematics
- Ability to write detailed repair reports, work order procedures, MWI’s, SOP’s, and Management of Change
- Proficiency with computer systems and industrial control networks, including PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP

Some of the activities you will be doing includes:
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automation control systems including Siemens PCS7, Step 7, and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5000
- Monitor and maintain WinCC HMI servers
- Administration of IBA data acquisition systems
- Integrate new equipment into existing automation systems
- Track, approve, and implement automation system changes through Management of Change
- Work in conjunction with I.T. department to ensure high availability of computer systems and networks
- Provide technical support to area engineers, maintainers, and production teams to continually improve production processes
- Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions for system failures
- Identify and plan upgrades for equipment nearing End-of-Life
- Identify and implement improvements related to energy sustainability
- Plan, manage, and supervise outage work related to automation
- Manage outside automation-related support contracts
- Maintain environmental and safety compliance requirements
- Any other activities that may be required or requested to support the business
Physical requirements:
- Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards
- Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs and ramps) same as ability to walk long distances and demonstrate good balance on uneven terrain or maneuvering obstacles
- Ability to withstand exposure to elevated ambient temperature for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in extreme heat
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, dust and asphalt
- Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required
- Ability to frequently use hand or fingers to handle or feel objects/materials
- Ability to work in areas with strong magnetic fields
- Bend, twist, lift, stand, walk, reach, see, move, and hear as required by specific position
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to communicate utilizing radios, phones and/or intercom systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques
- Ability to safely use power and hand tools
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and equipment for tasks and diagnostic purposes, including overhead cranes.
Salary range: USD.101,900-140,100
