Onsite Network Specialist

 

Are you a proactive network professional who enjoys hands-on work and supporting reliable IT services in an onsite environment? We are looking for 3 people to become Onsite Network Specialists to ensure stable and efficient local network services at our site(s). The positions will be based at one of our Swedish sites in Avesta, Degerfors, or Nyby (Torshälla).
 


In this role, you will be responsible for the local network environment within your support area. You will work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external service partners to maintain reliable network operations, support continuous improvement, and ensure that local business needs are met.


The purpose of the Onsite Network Specialist role is to deliver reliable service for the local network environment at the site(s) in the assigned country. The role works towards operational efficiency, supports continuous improvement of services, and cooperates closely with business counterparts as well as internal and external service partners.


 
Key responsibilities
 
•    Ensure that safety rules and regulations are followed in all daily activities.
•    Take responsibility for the Local Area Network, LAN, within the assigned support area.
•    Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain manageable network infrastructure.
•    Support fault correction and preventive actions to improve network reliability.
•    Assist with the design of local network solutions and requirements.
•    Coordinate and implement local network changes.
•    Maintain operational documentation, configuration records, and CMDB data to ensure accuracy.
 


 Requirements
 
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
•    2–5 years of experience in key network technologies.
•    Good knowledge of LAN, WLAN, firewalls, and DHCP.
•    Experience in network installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
•    Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
•    Proactive working style with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time and workload.
•    Ability to work independently as well as in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Requirement to be onsite for the majority of the time.
•    Safety-focused mindset and willingness to follow local safety rules and regulations.
•    Drivers license
