About the role
As Manager Application Services, Operations Solutions Sweden, you hold overall responsibility for the application services team, developing and supporting business solutions to our Swedish sites in Avesta, Nyby and Degerfors. You will lead a team consisting of local specialists in Sweden and a dedicated nearshore team in Poland – with full responsibility for people, delivery and development.
The team works with application management, development and system support. Your mission is to create stability, structure and sustainable ways of working – while building a culture where people thrive, develop and perform together.
You are a present and engaged leader who builds trust, takes responsibility even in challenging situations, and creates strong relationships with your team, other IT stakeholders and our business. The role requires regular presence at our sites.
Location & Ways of Working
We offer a hybrid setup with flexibility, while also valuing the importance of being close to the business and the team in everyday work. Therefore, we expect you to spend a significant portion of your time on-site. The position is based at one of our sites in Avesta, Degerfors, or Torshälla.
Your responsibilities
This role carries a broad scope of responsibility, covering people leadership, delivery and continuous development. You will:
· Lead and develop the team, ensure the right competence and create an inclusive and high-performing work environment
· Application Management – support, maintenance, testing and changes
· Ensure overall planning, resource allocation and on-call responsibilities
· Ensure efficient processes, standardization and continuous improvements
· Collaborate closely with our Service Managers and Architects to understand needs and value
· Ensure common ways-of-working, workflows, tools and a sustainable application architecture

We believe you have
· A university degree in IT or equivalent experience
· Documented leadership experience
· The ability to lead, engage and develop people at different levels
· Excellent skills in both Swedish and English
Meritorious:
· ITIL, DevOps or project management
· Technical knowledge in areas such as:
o Java, .NET, Python, C/C++, COBOL, JavaScript
o Git and development tools
o MS SQL, Oracle
o Cloud technologies
