What You'll Do:

  • Develop, deploy and maintain data solutions on Outokumpu Global Data Platform, an enterprise-level data platform to provide common data availability for reporting, applicational and analytical use cases.
  • Work mostly with structured data including financial data, manufacturing data, procurement data, sales & marketing data, R&D data and supply chain management data, and some image & IoT data.
  • Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure data solutions on Azure, including Databricks Lakehouse, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time data processing.
  • Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas.
  • Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure security best practices and compliance across the Azure architecture.
  • Provide support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data strategies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in Azure technologies and best practices.

 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure data engineering and Databricks Lakehouse.
  • Advanced programming skills in Databricks. 
  • Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Familiar with networking, security, identity management and serverless computing in Azure.
  • Familiar with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good experience in streaming analytics, IoT analytics or SAP Data technology is a plus.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
